Northwood man charged with sex abuse of child

NORTHWOOD — A Northwood man was arrested Thursday for allegedly sexually abusing a child.
Gerad Lee Kuhlmann, 29, faces two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a child under 12 years of age.

According to a news release, the Worth County Sheriff’s Office began investigating on April 25.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Manly Police Department, the Clear Lake Police Department and the Iowa Attorney General Area Prosecutions Division.
The case is still under investigation.
If convicted, Kuhlmann faces up to 25 years in prison for each charge.
