Support is much appreciated

On May 1, Senior Resources offered the community a great breakfast, but more importantly, a chance to support a needed service. This type of fundraiser serves two purposes: raise money and educate the public. Well, maybe three purposes — a chance to eat Denny Brue pancakes. This was Senior Resources third fundraiser in 2016. These events are so vital to our operation because of rising costs and stagnate grants and limited access to foundations. Thank you to all who gave generously for they did not forget why the breakfast was offered and acknowledged Senior Resources as a valuable resource for those in need in our county. Success is always greater when businesses contribute — they are Hy-Vee, Cheers Liquor, Four Seasons Travel, Mrs. Gerry’s and the Fair Board. We had some great help from volunteers, staff and board members. Thank you so much. Operating a nonprofit is a 24/7 undertaking. And it’s apparent to me that many people, in lots of ways, are committed to making Albert Lea a caring community that offers help to many. Senior Resources is proud to be contributing.
