The Albert Lea girls’ golf team traveled to Winona for a triangular match Monday afternoon.
The Tigers took on Faribault and Winona, and came in second place with a total score of 405.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Bailey Sandon, who shot a 97. Sam Nielsen shot a 99 to join Sandon as the two Tigers to shoot under 100. Natalie Nafzger finished with a 102 and Emma Loch totaled a 107. Rounding out the scores was Charley Fleek (110) and Sara Rasmussen (112).
Winona won the meet by finishing 20 shots better than the Tigers. Faribault finished a distant third (438).
“This was our worst showing of the season in great weather conditions,” said Tigers’ coach Shawn Riebe. “The Bridges is a very difficult course, and we really struggled to get started on the front nine. However, the girls made a nice recovery on the back nine.”
In conference, the Tigers are 4-1.
