Alden student named to dean’s list

Jessica Lynn Price of Alden has been named to the dean’s list/Explore Center list of distinguished students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2015-16 academic year.

Price, a sophomore nutrition and health sciences major, was named to the dean’s list for the College of Education and Human Sciences.

Qualification for the dean’s list/list of distinguished students varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center. All qualifying grade-point averages are based on a four-point scale and a minimum of 12 or more graded semester hours.

 

Wheaton College announces dean’s list

Andrew Kozelsky and Corbin Schultz, both of Albert Lea, were two of the students named on Wheaton College’s dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

 

Local students graduate

Erick Anderson and Taylor Friehl, both from Albert Lea, graduated May 13 from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato.

Anderson is the son of Mark and Teresa Anderson of Albert Lea. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in business administration. Anderson is a 2013 graduate of Albert Lea High School.

Friehl is the daughter of Roy Friehl of Albert Lea and Wendelyn Friehl-Taylor of Albert Lea. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in studio art. Friehl is a 2011 graduate of Albert Lea High School.
