The Albert Lea High School class of 1965 recently donated a bench in Central Park. The project came through the group’s 50th class reunion. Class members contributed to pay for the bench. Pictured are seated, from left, Beth Tostenson, Geeg Aaker and Sandy Stephens and standing Janice Hammer, Paul Steiler and Linda Gonzalez. The location for the bench was chosen because Central Park was a gathering spot for open lunch and after school when ALHS was on Clark Street. The park was used for the prom promenade. -Provided
