Multiple arrests at Harmony Park over weekend

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested multiple people for drugs and underage drinking over the weekend at Harmony Park on the western shore of Geneva Lake.
Harmony Park owner Jay Sullivan said he hopes the arrests at the weekend Revival music festival send the message that drugs and other illegal activity are not acceptable at the outdoor music venue.
“This isn’t a safe place to do that, so don’t come here,” Sullivan said. “It jeopardizes not only my business, but the safety of our patrons. People like this jeopardize the safety of everyone.”
He said he has increased security and staff in recent years and is proud of how those efforts — as well as a close relationship with law enforcement — have paid off. He hopes people will take note of the arrests and that, over time, the park can rid itself of the problems associated with drug use.
“We look forward to continuing on,” Sullivan said.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office arrested or cited the following over the weekend:
• Jesse Jared Barnhart, 26, for multiple drug offenses at 8:58 p.m. Friday.
• Kyle Eugene Tibbetts, 20, and Austin Warren Brown, 20, for underage drinking at 2:02 a.m. Saturday. Tibbetts was also cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
• Justin Forrest Rush, 33, for first-degree drug possession at 7:17 p.m. Saturday.
• Patrick Lee Roiger, 22, for two counts of fifth-degree drug possession and John Charles Olson, 25, for a warrant at 8:10 p.m. Saturday.
• Shane Garrett Wiseman, for fifth-degree possession of molly, MDMA, cocaine and ketamine at 2:28 a.m. Sunday.
In addition, at least a half dozen people were warned about possessing small amounts of marijuana, open bottle violations or having no label on a prescription bottle.
Logs stated a male was transported to the emergency room for a condition involving cocaine and LSD at 12:06 a.m. Sunday.
Harmony Park is at 79503 298th St. in Clarks Grove.
