The Albert Lea Art Center presented its 2016 scholarship to San Pow, graduate of Albert Lea High School.

Pow was born in Thailand. She spent her early childhood in a refugee camp and came to America in 2008. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, Albert Lea High School track and field and tennis teams and actively served her community.

This fall, Pow will attend Riverland Community College and plans to major in cosmetology. She also plans to continue using her artistic talents throughout her lifetime.
