Anna Tibodeau

Anna Marie was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Anna Tautges of St. Leo.  She was adopted at 8 months of age by Bernard and Gertrude (Herman) Schimek. She was united in marriage to Bernard Charles Tibodeau on June 22, 1948, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton and to this union 10 children were born. They lived in Winnebago until the spring of 1949 when they moved to a farm southeast of Easton.

Anna Marie was a thoughtful and caring woman who was always concerned about others and no one was a stranger to her. She spoke her mind and always had the scoop on area happenings. Anna Marie taught school for four years at the Pink School House. She was a hot lunch cook for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School and took great pride in raising her family. She had a great appreciation and love for music and was an Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church choir member from 1945 to 2002.
