LAKE MILLS — Many established events are returning to this year’s July Jubilee, according to Cassie Johnson, executive director of the Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation.

On Friday there will be a cinnamon bun bake sale at 9 a.m. at Lake Mills Civic Center. The Lake Mills Senior Citizens Club will sponsor the sale, which will end when all its items are sold.

Registration will also begin for the 10th annual July Jubilee 5K from noon to 5 p.m. Friday starting at Lake Mills Physical Therapy. Registration with payment had to be received by June 27 to guarantee a commemorative zip-up in a specific size, but extra garments will be available at registration on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will continue at 6:45 a.m. Saturday with the race to begin at 7:30 a.m. The funds donated from the race will benefit Lake Mills Bulldog Youth Running Club.

The street dance beer garden will open at 7 p.m. Friday, an hour prior to a performance by the Devon Worley Band. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., flea market and craft vendors will be open at Oakwood Park. Free entertainment will also be available at the park from noon to 3 p.m. The Rendezvous will be open all day at Popcorn Hill. The event will feature crafts and demonstrations from days gone by.

On Saturday the parade will start things off at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be available at Oakwood Park. The Parents for D.C. Community Picnic supports the Lake Mills eighth-grade trip to Washington, D.C., each spring. In case of rain, the picnic will be moved to Lake Mills school.

Lake Mills Wrestling Club will celebrate 50 years of wrestling with an open house from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the new wrestling room at the school. Lake Mills wrestling alumni are encouraged to attend. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at the event.

The beer garden will once again open at 7 p.m. with a performance by Boogie and the Yo Yoz to follow at 8 p.m.

The events will wind down on Sunday. A radio-controlled air show will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at the airport with concessions available from Lake Mills Girl Scouts.
