FARGO, N.D. — A police officer in Fargo accused of drunken driving in Minnesota has resigned.
Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd said that Wes Libner has turned in his resignation letter.
Libner was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. July 2 on Highway 10 near Hawley.
Clay County Sheriff’s Office said Libner was stopped by a deputy after someone called authorities to report a vehicle “weaving” down the highway. The station reports Libner’s blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.
Libner was a school resource officer at Fargo South High School.
