Thanks to those who helped event

The Blue Zones Project thanks the city of Albert Lea and all the community organizations and volunteers that made the second annual Just Play event at Frank Hall Park such a great success. A special thank you goes out to Bob Furland and Jenny Davis from Albert Lea Parks and Recreation for organizing this fun event. It took a lot of work and the community appreciates your efforts.

The warm day was a perfect venue for the Albert Lea Fire Department and its now famous pop-up splash pad! Community Education brought its canoes and kayaks for those looking for a different kind of water adventure and Family Bike Rodeo offered helmets, an agility course, a fix-it station and gently-used bikes for residents in need of a bike. Dozens of community organizations planned fun and interactive activities that kept everyone laughing, walking, dancing, running, peddling and paddling throughout the morning.

Thank you, Albert Lea, for making our community such a great place to live, work and play! Hope to see you all again next year.
