• Elyse Kala Staley, 28, of Austin

• Ryan Dean Johnson, 36, of Albert Lea

Brigston was reportedly arrested during a traffic stop, Staley was reportedly arrested at Hy-Vee and Johnson was arrested at his residence.

Albert Lea Deputy Director of Police J.D. Carlson said the arrests were made after police were made aware of individuals stealing mail out of mailboxes within the last month and siphoning through mail for financial documents before using them to make fraudulent identifications and documents to cash the checks and utilize the documents.

Carlson advised people not to leave mail in their mailboxes for extended periods of time and to watch for suspicious vehicles.
