MAHNOMEN — Authorities in northwestern Minnesota are investigating the death of a man near Mahnomen. 

Mahnomen County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a male with a leg wound at residence south of Mahnomen Friday. Authorities said when deputies arrived they found a man was dead.

Sheriff’s investigators say the death is suspicious and apparently involves foul play. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and White Earth police are assisting in the investigation.
