A Clarks Grove woman was placed on supervised probation for two years Thursday in Freeborn County District Court in connection to a reported stabbing in December.
Ashley Nicole Randall, 22, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, and was given credit for 44 days served. Forty-six days were stayed.
Randall was placed on probation for two years — one year supervised, the other unsupervised — in connection with a gross misdemeanor domestic abuse no contact order violation tied to a separate case.
Randall received one year in jail on the charge. She was given credit for 41 days served, and 324 days were stayed.
Randall was arrested after officers from the Albert Lea Police Department and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched Dec. 26, 2015, to 802 E. 18 1/2 St. in Albert Lea.
The victim, Randall’s ex-boyfriend, reportedly sustained an approximately half inch to an inch wound to the abdomen and was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. He was treated and released the next day.
Randall was initially also charged with second-degree assault and felony domestic assault. Those charges were dismissed.
