1 cited for careless driving

Police cited one person for careless driving during a traffic stop at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and Fourth Street. The person was cited after reportedly driving 82 mph on West Ninth Avenue.

Items stolen

A large campaign sign was reported stolen at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Hammer Road and Sorensen Road.

An EBT card valued at about $190 was reported taken at 12:38 p.m. Tuesday at 303 Channel Road.

Theft by fraud reported

Someone was reported as trying to pass a fraudulent check at 12:43 p.m. Tuesday at Hy-Vee. The suspect, described as wearing a green shirt and shorts, left before officers arrived, and was expected to be charged with fraud.
