3 people hurt when medical helicopter crashes

ALEXANDRIA — Authorities say three people were hurt when a Twin Cities medical helicopter crashed near Alexandria, in central Minnesota.
A North Memorial Medical Center helicopter went down about 2 a.m. Saturday on the east side of Lake Winona, near the Alexandria airport.
The Douglas County sheriff’s office said the victims were taken to the Alexandria hospital before being transported to North Memorial for treatment. They are listed in critical condition.
North Memorial officials said there were no patients on board.
