The Albert Lea Knights and Albert Lea Youth Baseball Association have officially merged into one, new organization.

Albert Lea Baseball and Softball will encompass T-ball thru 14-year-old baseball and youth softball.

Summer 2017 baseball season tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18.

Registration will start 30 minutes prior to each age group.

Below is a list of the tryout schedule

Saturday, Sept. 17

14 year olds — 10 a.m.-noon,

12-13 year olds — 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

11 year olds — 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 18

8, 9 and 10 year olds — noon-2 p.m.

All tryouts will be held at Snyder Fields.

If you are interested in playing either Tournament Travel or in the South Central League, plan to attend, as this will be the only tryout for the 2017 summer season.

In case of rain, the make-up date is Sept. 25.

15 year old tryouts will be announced at a later date.
