Berry leads Vikings to 1st win of season

Northwood-Kensett notched its first win of the football season Friday, as it played in Janesville.

The Vikings used a solid rushing attack to win the game, 34-7.

Marquise Berry rushed 11 times for 109 yards and a touchdown. Hayden Halbach, Colton Moretz and Caleb Kliment also rushed for touchdowns.

Halbach led the defense in tackles with 10 and the defense also had two sacks.

The 34 points scored by the Vikings exceeds their offensive output in the first two games combined (24).

Northwood-Kensett will be on the road at North Iowa Friday.
