Debate planned for Geneva candidates

At 7 p.m. Oct. 29, there will be a town hall-style debate between the candidates for Geneva City Council and Geneva mayor. Currently three of the six candidates have confirmed participation. The location of the event hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it will likely be at Victory Life Church since the community building already has something going on that evening.

Depending on schedules it may change to 7 p.m. Oct. 30, but we will know well in advance if that is the case. Questions can be directed to me at 507-460-0098. I am one of the candidates for mayor. The other mayoral candidate is the incumbent, and, there are four running for two seats on the city council, so it could be very interesting. This is probably the first time (in a long time at least) that both seats are hotly contested.
