Edward Joseph Hoeve, 75, of Bloomington passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, after a short battle with cancer.

He was past master and secretary of Capital City Masonic Lodge. Ed enjoyed being with his family at the lake.

He was preceded in death by parents Joe and Myrtle; and brother, Duane. 

He is survived by loving wife of 55 years, Mary; children Jim (Judy) and Sue (Mac); grandchildren Paige (Jason), Sean, Joe (Ellie) and Julia (Noah); great-grandchildren Kaden and Liam; brother, Dean (Jan); and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

A memorial gathering will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. S, in Edina.
