Each year, the Blue Zones Project works with local worksites that provide breastfeeding support to their employees who return to work following the birth of a child. According to organization lead Ellen Kehr, some worksites, like Albert Lea High School, go above and beyond what the law requires and we are pleased to recognize those businesses in the community. This year, Albert Lea High School was recognized as the Breastfeeding Friendly Worksite for 2016. Cindy Gaudian and the Freeborn County Breastfeeding Coalition recognized Dani Bryant, who led the effort to open the lactation room, and to Alice Englin, Freeborn County SHIP Coordinator, for providing funding for the room.
