Memorial services for Ervin F. Becker, 73, of Albert Lea will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at The Salvation Army in Albert Lea. Major Elsie Cline will officiate. Ervin passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at his home.

Ervin Frank Becker was born Nov. 30, 1942, in Albert Lea, the son of Frank and Irene (Torgeson) Becker. He grew up in Glenville. On Dec. 18, 1971, he was united in marriage to Delores L. Lorentzen. Ervin was self-employed as a truck driver. He was a rock hound and a coin collector. He enjoyed playing card games, coffee time with his friends, dancing, camping, chasing tornadoes and bird watching. Ervin loved any involvement with his family. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass and country western music.

Ervin is survived by his children Evelyn Becker, Judy (Albino) Moreno, Jean (Tom) Tomlinson, Jane (Jim) Hamberg, June Clark, Jeffery (Kim) Turner, Joyce Turner-Theis, Jay (Dianna) Becker and Joleane (Jared) Becker-Chamberlain; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; daughter, Jennet Lorentzen; parents Irene and Frank; brother and sister-in-law David and Carol Becker; and siblings Bonnie Becker and Donald Johnson.
