The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Why is this election so important? The liberal left is determined to nullify the Second Amendment. Restriction of firearms has been a goal of the left for decades. There will be two or more Supreme Court seats up for appointment during the next eight years. Should Hillary be elected, she has made it very clear that she would appoint liberal, anti-gun justices to the court and personally take a activist role in regulating firearms. If Hillary is determined to invalidate the Second Amendment, what other parts of the Constitution will she desecrate?

Chicago has some of the most restrictive guns laws in America and yet has the highest murder rate in the country. Where do criminals get their guns from? Studies show that the majority are black market guns, purchased on the street. Some are supplied by family members and third parties. Less than 3 percent are purchased through a licensed gun dealer (background checks).Very few are stolen.

Then why take the law-abiding citizens guns? The simple truth is the liberal left is terrified of the gun-owning American citizen. The goal of the left is an ever-growing more powerful government that continues to restrict the freedoms of American citizens. They (the left) fully understand that an armed citizen has the potential to rise up and say “no more.”

The left replies “we only want to eliminate the dangerous assault type of weapons and oversized magazines for hand guns and rifles.” Before you swallow that line, Google “Australian gun laws,” which Hillary has admitted is her model to eliminate guns from the hands of the law-abiding citizens in America.

The short version of the Australian law reads that all gun owners must be licensed and all guns must be registered. The Australian government seized all handguns, semi-automatic weapons, including shotguns and 22-caliber rifles. All pump shotguns were also seized.

Perhaps, you feel that all guns are dangerous and should be banned. However, did you realize that almost all mass shootings have occurred in gun-free zones? If victims were allowed guns, perhaps they could have protected themselves, or the shooter would have never appeared.

The world is inundated with guns. No matter what laws are imposed, the criminals will find a way to import guns through our porous borders. It is already obvious that the police alone cannot protect us.

Obama and Hillary’s efforts at gun regulation have resulted in record sales. There were 2.1 million FBI background checks for gun purchases in June 2016 alone. The American citizen is scared! Obama and Hillary are by far America’s best gun salesmen.

If the Constitution is worth saving, Hillary cannot be elected.
