We want every day to be a great day for our students at Albert Lea High School! Albert Lea High School has a great tradition of preparing students for life after high school.  In 2004, the Albert Lea School Board adopted a plan for the students in the district called Pathways to Success — http://www.alschools.org/about-district/school-board. The Pathways to Success guides Albert Lea High School as we move forward. We focus on the Student Pathways based on the student’s interest and ability.  Our goal is to reach a 90 percent graduation rate and an ACT composite average of a 23. Both of these goals are within reach and we hope to meet those goals in the near future.

We offer many opportunities to students at Albert Lea High School.  We have three directions that a student can take starting in eighth grade to meet his or her interest and ability. Students interested in engineering can participate in our Project Lead the Way program. In 11th grade, students have the opportunity to participate in College in the School and Advance Placement course work. Students can take nurse assistance course work through Riverland Community College. Students have the opportunity for mentorship and internship.

We have a very strong extracurricular program that we offer from athletics, to music offers in choir, band and orchestra, theater and musicals, Tigers Roar, a strong robotic program, and many offers that students can participate in at Albert Lea High School. We encourage the community to come and watch our students in their extra-curricular programs.

Students have many opportunities to get a great education at Albert Lea High School.  Our goal is for every student to have a great day as a Tiger!
