The ninth annual Ryan “Pie” Truesdell memorial softball tournament was played Saturday and Sunday at Snyder Field in memory of Truesdell. Teams from all over the Midwest traveled to play in the tournament. Truesdell was an avid sports fan and loved softball. He tragically died Aug. 14, 2007, when he was trapped in a grain elevator at the Glenville Grain Elevator. Every year since his death, this tournament has been put on to raise money to help area youth sports. Jarrod Peterson/the Albert Lea Tribune
