The Albert Lea girls’ tennis season came to a close Thursday at Fred Wells Tennis Center in St. Paul. Lexus Saltou and Anna Boettcher played singles matches and Alexa Drescher-Sam Skarstad and Katie Boettcher-Sara Kabrud played in doubles matches.

The Tigers were unable to come away with a win.

“We played really well and were competitive in each spot,” said Tigers coach Chris Withers. “A successful season is not always measured in wins and losses. Our goal this year as a team was to be the most improved in the Big Nine Conference. I believe we accomplished that goal.”

Skarstad was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team.
