Two semi drivers — including one from Glenville — died Tuesday after a head-on collision on Interstate 90 near Nodine in Winona County.
Michael R. Kalvig, 47, of Glenville and Abdulhafiz Hussein, 37, of Roseville reportedly both died at the scene.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Kalvig was driving a 2012 Kenworth semi eastbound on I-90 shortly after noon when the semi crossed the median and entered the westbound lanes of traffic, into the path of a 2010 Freightliner semi, driven by Hussein.
Information about what might have caused Kalvig to cross the median and into the westbound lanes of traffic has not been released.
Both men were reportedly not wearing their seat belts, and it is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
Nodine and Dakota fire departments and Tri-State Ambulance assisted on scene.
