Ora Lucille Machacek Yaroshek, 98, passed away peacefully at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at North Ridge Special Care Center, 8101 Palomas Ave. NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A native and longtime resident of Austin, Ora and her husband, Elmer Yaroshek, were career employees at Hormel and both served as U.S. Marines during World War II.  Ora moved to New Mexico in 2012 to be near family.

Her life will be honored at a military service and reception to be held at Worlein Funeral Home at a date to be announced in spring 2017. 

Her ashes will be placed next to the grave of her husband in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Elmer James Yaroshek passed away April 22, 2002.

Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
