At Hawthorne Elementary, the school believes in student leadership.
One way they promote young leaders is through student council. Each classroom, kindergarten through fifth-grade, is represented by a student council member.
Activities throughout the year include planning and participating in school-wide assemblies, promoting and modeling Level 1 behavior expectations and service projects like Pennies for Patients, among others.
