A tough season came to an end the for United South Central volleyball team Monday night in the first round of the sections playoffs.

The Rebels hosted Mountain Lake Area and lost a heartbreaker in five sets.

The Rebels finished the season with a record of 6-22, but were playing some of their better volleyball late in the season.

The Rebels won the second and fourth sets. However, they were unable to close the door, falling to Mountain Lake Area 15-10 in the fifth set.

Shianne Robertson led the Rebels with 17 kills, and Kendal Wacholz had 29 assists.
