Cantori performing this weekend

- The Albert Lea Cantori will present the annual “Singing in the Season” concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. This year the Cantori will celebrate the 50th anniversary of American composer Kirke Mechem’s “Seven Joys of Christmas.” This work will be accompanied by Rachel Christensen on the harp. Gail Thurnau and Christensen will also perform an organ and harp duet. Other works include music by Graeme Morton, Paul Sjolund, Mark Riese, David Willcocks and Egil Hovland. The concert is free to the public. In its 44th year, Albert Lea Cantori is a choral ensemble with members from Albert Lea and the surrounding area. The Cantori is directed by Eileen Nelson Ness. - Provided
