I am writing this letter to encourage our community to re-elect Julie Johnson to the school board. I have known Julie for many years. John and Julie were high school friends, and I met Julie after John and I were married over 20 years ago.

Some of the reasons that make Julie an outstanding board member are that she is very approachable and listens to the community. She works hard to get all of the information and facts before making any decisions, always keeping her students her No. 1 priority. I have seen firsthand how much Julie values the teachers and staff of District 241 through her personal relationships with them. While we see her in her role as vice chair at board meetings, John and I have witnessed her tireless work behind the scenes to better our district. In addition, she is the only board member seeking re-election with a child attending Albert Lea area schools.

Re-electing Julie provides our district with the necessary continuity and experience which is so needed in our school right now. Her years working in education, banking and human resources are invaluable to our district. This is why we continue to need Julie Johnson for school board!

So join me in voting for Julie on Tuesday.
