My topic is the desired goal of the GOP and Paul Ryan to replace Medicare with a stupid voucher system.

I and many other people on Medicare cannot afford to pay for health insurance premiums even with a voucher — you forget also that insurers do not want to cover seniors at any price.

As a result, millions of seniors would no doubt wind up on Medicaid, straining an already strained budget in many states. Even if the federal government increased their contributions for Medicaid, it would still fall short of the actual cost of taking care of everyone’s critical needs.

It appears the GOP has not thought things through at all.

Not only seniors but governors need to stand up and shout to be heard on this issue.
