Funeral services for Dorothy Krueger will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. The Rev. Anjanette Bandel will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery of Pickerel Lake. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting with arrangements.

Dorothy (Dahlen) Krueger was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Albert Lea. She was adopted by John and Inga Dahlen and attended Albert Lea schools. It was on a blind date that she met her future husband, Loren Krueger. They were married Dec. 16, 1945. To this union, four children were born. They lived in Albert Lea for 17 years and then moved to Rochester. Over the years, she and Loren did extensive traveling all over the world.

She went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at Pine Haven Care Center, Pine Island, with her husband of 71 years at her side. She was 89.

She is survived by her husband, Loren; their children Steve Krueger of El Paso, Texas, Dennis (Carol) Krueger of Pine Island, Susan (Terry) Sutton of The Villages, Florida, and Mark Krueger of Rochester; and grandchildren Steve Krueger II, Dustin Krueger, David Krueger, Kurt Krueger, Kelly Krueger, Jo Marie (Adam) Heidfeld and Aaron Ludwig.
