Funeral services for Elizabeth Marie Yttrevold will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service chapel in Albert Lea. Envoy Walter Peck and Maj. Michael Vogler will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Marie passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. She was 87.

Elizabeth Marie (Range) was born May 26, 1929, to Otto and Elizabeth (Martin) Range. Her family moved to Conger when she was a young girl, and she had been a resident of Freeborn County ever since.

On May 25, 1949, she was united in marriage to Martin Yttrevold.

Marie enjoyed living on her hobby farm near Hayward for over 50 years. She worked at Land O’Lakes for many years, and also sold many of her arts and crafts. She was a member of Albert Lea Handicapped Club, and the Salvation Army Corps and Home League. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and doing crafts in general. She was very proud of a prize she won at the county fair for her craftwork. Marie was an animal lover — especially her cat, Big Boy. Lately, she enjoyed getting caught up in a good book. Marie can be described as a funny person who liked to tell jokes and laugh. Most of all, she loved her family, and found great joy spending time with all of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin; infant son, Robert; and a grandson, Oliver Jr.

Marie is survived by her children Louise Lyngaas, Martin (Debbie) Yttrevold Jr., Judy Yttrevold and Betty (Michael) Vogler; grandchildren Scott, Shawn, Teresa, Janelle and Jennafer; great-grandchildren Shaun, Jiovanna, Chasidy, Brianna, Lexxis, Shelby, Kennidee, Kamora and Christopher; and great-great-grandchildren Brantley and Noah.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Good Samaritan Society who took such wonderful care of Marie.
