The NRHEG boys’ basketball team stayed undefeated with a big 73-47 victory Tuesday night over Le Sueur-Henderson.
The Panthers got 17 points and 11 rebounds from Tyler Raimann, as well as 17 points from Brady Agrimson and 14 from Oakley Baker in the win.
NRHEG built a 21-point lead at halftime thanks to some hot shooting in the first half. The Panthers shot 68 percent from the field in the half.
“I thought we were in a groove on offense,” Panthers coach Pat Churchill said.
Baker scored 13 of his 14 points in the first half, and Jason Jongbloedt scored all nine of his points in the second half for the Panthers.
“(Le Sueur-Henderson) was a little short-handed, but it didn’t stop them from competing all night long,” Churchill said.
The Giants cut into the Panthers’ lead several times in the second half, but couldn’t get any closer than 16 points.
NRHEG is 5-0 and will compete in the Bethany Holiday Tournament Dec. 27-29, where it will play Le Sueur-Henderson again in the first round.
