Court documents state Homan was charged after a deputy spoke with the alleged victim Oct. 2, who reported that Homan had sent her pictures of his private parts and had told her his name was Charlie. After the girl’s mother had told him her intention to go to police, he reportedly called her and identified himself as Isaiah Homan.

An Albert Lea detective conducted a forensic search of the alleged victim’s phone Oct. 24, which revealed text messages and nude photos of the girl and Homan.

The alleged victim said the two began communicating at the end of September after he received her phone number from her Facebook profile.

The girl reported to police when she told Homan she was 14 years old on Sept. 29, that he “started flipping out” and hung up. He reportedly later called her back and apologized, explaining that he was shocked to find out how old she was, according to court files.

The alleged victim said Homan drove to her home Oct. 1 to have sex with her, but she did not go outside to meet him because she was scared.

The mother of the alleged victim reportedly sent Homan a message on the phone informing Homan that she was calling the police, Homan reportedly stated, “She told me 17.”

District Court Judge Steven Schwab set conditional bail at $40,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 29.

Using a minor in a sexual performance carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
