Mayo Clinic awards scholarships

Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin recently awarded four $1,000 non-traditional scholarships to students in its service area who are currently pursuing post-secondary education in a health care field five or more years after completing high school or receiving a GED, according to a press release.

Recipients of the non-traditional scholarships are Ashley Sampson of New Richland, pursuing a degree in radiography at Riverland Community College; Josephine Johnson of Albert Lea, pursuing a degree in nursing at Riverland Community College; Cheri Bentzin of Rose Creek, pursuing a degree in nursing at Riverland Community College; and Sandra Stringer of Dodge Center, pursing a degree in nursing at Rochester Community and Technical College.
