Program hosts open house

A holiday open house was put on by the 18-21 transitions program last Wednesday. The students were hosts and hostesses to the staff within Brookside Education Center. The event highlighted a month of holiday baking and was also a good opportunity for the students to practice planning and preparing for a special event. The Albert Lea transitions program is for students with a disability who are between the ages of 18 and 21 and have completed their 12th grade year. The program offers a functional and vocational focus of skills necessary for increased independence at home, in the workplace and the community. Provided
