Where are you from?

Albert Lea.

If from Albert Lea, which elementary school did you attend?

Lakeview.

Favorite teacher of all time and why:

I have a lot of teachers that I like, but the ones I like the most are Ms. Hansen and Mr. Chalmers.

Favorite book/author:

“The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.

Current/past activities, volunteer work and accomplishments:

Soccer, mock trial, student council president, 4-H and math masters.

What do you want to do after high school?

Become an orchestra teacher because I love string instruments, especially the cello.

What advice would you give to younger students in Albert Lea?

One of my favorite quotes is, “Believe you can, and you’re halfway there,” by Theodore Roosevelt. Even though someone might say, “You’ll never be able to do this” or “ You’ll never be able to do that” doesn’t mean that you can’t do it. While other people say “Believe in yourself and you’ve already succeeded,” that’s not the case. The second part of actually achieving your goals is to choose how you’re going to reach that goal. That’s the beautiful thing about life — we can choose our own path.
