The hockey boards will be reserved for hockey players, and a rink will be reserved for skaters. Davis said depending on the weather, there will be various activities for children to participate in while skating. There will be other games available inside the warming house as well, including ping pong and foosball, along with the potential for some board games.

The warming house is heated, and people will be invited to come in there to warm up with some hot chocolate with marshmallows.

The event is free to the public, though people who attend should bring their own skates.

This is the fifth year for the event through Albert Lea Parks and Recreation.
