Blair Stadheim, 1964-2017

Funeral Services for Blair J. Stadheim of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at East Freeborn Lutheran Church in rural Albert Lea. The Rev. Matthew Griggs will officiate. Interment will be in East Freeborn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the church.

Blair died surrounded by his family Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at his home. He died as a result of complications from lung cancer. He was 52.

Blair James Stadheim was born on June 3, 1964, to David and Marilyn Stadheim. He was the fourth in a line of six siblings. He attended school and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1982. Blair married Karen R. Enderson on Feb. 22, 1997.

He started his working career at a very young age of 12 with the family business, Stadheim Sanitation. He worked there through graduation.

Blair held jobs at Interstate Meats, Waste Systems, T.S. Express and many years with Sorenson Brothers Construction. He began his lineman career with Alliant Energy and then worked with U.L.C. until taking the field supervisor position with I.T.C. Midwest.

Blair enjoyed going to and supporting all sporting events with Morgan and working in the shop, mechanic work with Walker. Camping with the family, family vacations at Leech Lake and raising his chickens and cattle at the acreage were favorite pastimes. Family time with Karen, Morgan, Walker and his whole extended family meant the most to him.

Stadheim, mother-in-law and father-in- law Roger and Shirley Enderson; brothers Bryan (Angie) Stadheim, Bruce (Ruth) Stadheim, Blake (Lynn) Stadheim and Allan (Kris) Stadheim; sister, Amy Stadheim; brothers–in-law and sister-in-law Mark Enderson, Steve Enderson and Susan (Oscar) Enderson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and family friend Cherie Seuser, who is Morgan’s mom.

Memorials suggested to East Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery, Mayo Clinic Health System’s Cancer Center in Albert Lea or Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
