Decorating with a touch of spring

Kristin Overland enjoys making crafts, sewing and crocheting. She makes and sells wooden signs for weddings with her mother, Sue Sanderson.
Overland lives right outside of Albert Lea with her husband, Derek, and son, Joshua.

She took us step-by-step through how to make this wreath. It is great for spring.

- Cut floral wire into pieces about 6 inches long as needed to secure moss.

- Place sheets of moss on bottom half of wreath. Attach to wreath by pushing wire through the moss and wreath and tying it in the back.

- Remove all dirt and roots from succulents. Trim succulents as needed.

- Set out succulents on and around the wreath to plan where you want them when completed.

- Glue succulents with a glue gun onto the wreath. Start with the largest succulents, and fill in with the smaller ones.

- Tie ribbon as desired to hang.

What you will need:
18-inch grapevine wreath
Preserved sheet moss
Thin floral wire
Wire cutters
Glue gun
3 medium-sized succulents in a variety of shapes and colors
7 small-sized succulents in a variety of shapes and colors
One roll of desired ribbon
