Funeral services for Ella M. Bleckeberg, 95, of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Malinsky will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Ella died March 22, 2017, at St. John’s Lutheran Community in Albert Lea.

Ella M. Bleckeberg was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Albert Lea, the daughter of LuVerne and Phoebe (Hatch) Larson. She attended Trenton School in Freeborn. On Dec. 22, 1939, Ella married Ernest Bleckeberg in Mora. She worked at Streater Inc., retiring in 1984.

Ella was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lydia Circle, Sew-N-Tell, and Salem Senior Group.

Ella is survived by her sons Tom of Austin, Dave and wife, Lynn, of Machesney Park, Illinois, and Bob and wife, Ginger, of Beloit, Wisconsin; daughter, Sharon and husband, Gene Weckwerth, of Albert Lea; daughter-in-law, Marlyn Bleckeberg, of Albert Lea; grandchildren Mark and wife, Nancy Bleckeberg, Susan and husband, Joe DeStephano, John and Kathleen Bleckeberg, Ann and husband, Jeff Erickson, Jenny Kling, Matt Bleckeberg, Marcy and Todd Cutsinger, Doug and wife, Sara Weckwerth, Don and wife, Shelly Weckwerth, Scott and wife, Joyce Weckwerth, and Tim, Trent, Julie and Dan Weckwerth; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; son, Paul; parents LuVerne and Phoebe; sisters Alice Phillips, Vera Smith, Hazel Wise and Esther Luna; and brother and sister-in-law Alvin and Rosie Larson.
