Spotlight on weather students

The ABC 6 News weather team visited with Kiki Christensen, Lisa Leland and Lisa Haney’s classroom to share their brand new weather lab experience with students this past week. Chris Kuball, Cindy Morgan and Jim Peterson shared a number of weather videos, discussed weather safety and conducted several experiments to help students better understand how weather works. Students were able to see what happens to a can of hot water when placed into ice water, how a balloon can be sucked into a glass bottle and how to simulate rain with water, shaving cream and colored water. The students had a great time being in the lab with weather scientists. - Provided
