An Albert Lea woman charged with stealing a car and thousands of dollars worth of other items last year pleaded guilty on Thursday in Freeborn County District Court.
Brianna Mae Jergens, 24, pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor possessing stolen property.
According to Freeborn County court documents, the burglary was reported Jan. 13, 2016.
Jergens and Michael Haukoos were arrested Feb. 2, 2016, in connection with the burglary after a deputy noticed a 2009 Cadillac CTS valued at about $25,000 at 113 McKinley St. in Manchester that was reported missing from a garage in Albert Lea, along with two flat-screen televisions, two golf bags with clubs, two safes, a jewelry box, jewelry and some silverware from the house.
During a search of the house in Manchester, officers and deputies reportedly found several stolen items, and Haukoos was found hiding under a pile of laundry in the basement.
A black Cadillac matching the description of the stolen vehicle was found in the driveway.
Haukoos is charged with felony receiving stolen property in connection with the incident. A jury trial is scheduled to begin April 25.
Jergens also pleaded guilty Thursday in two separate files. She pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor theft in one file. She also pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor transferring/receiving stolen property.
Sentencing on the three files is scheduled for May 25. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $3,000 fine.
