1 seriously injured after crash

Dwight Hildebrandt, 53, was seriously injured after a one-vehicle crash at 3:51 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Main Street. Hildrebrandt, who was allegedly driving a small black SUV, was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after he was unresponsive at the scene. Hildebrandt was listed in fair condition as of this morning.

Albert Lea police arrested Chad Alan Roberts, 49, on a fifth-degree charge and gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation during a traffic stop at 6:47 p.m. Sunday on the 300 block of Court Street.

Police arrested Tyler Scott Boyum, 29, for a domestic abuse no-contact order violation at 3:01 a.m. today at 906 W. Front St. At the scene, Boyum was also arrested for violating conditions of his release and for an open bottle violation.

1 cited for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Kiersten Jodell Knudson for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation during a traffic stop at 11:57 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 850th Avenue and 330th Street, outside Ellendale.

2 cited for theft

Police cited Aliyah Marie Fierro, 18, for theft and Allyssa C. Pollard-Jorgenson, 19, for theft at 6:27 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

Internet fraud was reported at 7:29 p.m. Friday at 80898 320th St., outside Ellendale.

A shop was broken into and tools missing at 12:03 p.m. Saturday.

Thefts were reported at 5:58 p.m. Friday and 3:28 p.m. Saturday at 1550 Blake Ave.

1 cited for disorderly conduct

Police cited Travis Eugene Johnson, 26, for disorderly conduct at 2:11 a.m. Saturday at 1318 E. Main St.

1 arrested for providing false information

Police arrested Kiara Sharice Gates, 20, for gross misdemeanor providing false information after a theft in progress was reported at 6:56 p.m. Friday at 703 E. Main St. At the scene, Gates was cited for having no Minnesota driver’s license. Gates was arrested after gift card thefts were reported in Mower County and Albert Lea. A few suspects were identified in the incidents. Gates is expected to be charged in Mower County in connection with the incidents.

Sexual assault reported

A sexual assault was reported at 8:50 a.m. Friday in Albert Lea.

Vehicle damaged

A back window of a GMC Envoy was busted out at 8:13 a.m. Saturday at 625 E. 16th St.

House broken into

A house was reported broken into at 2:38 p.m. Saturday at 308 E. William St. The incident allegedly occurred Tuesday.
