Betty Wilson, 1924-2017

Betty J. Wilson, 92, of Owatonna passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

She was born Dec. 15, 1924, to Carldon W. and Edith E. (Lemert) Fries in Marshall County, Indiana. She married Marvin Joseph Wilson on June 3, 1943. They were divorced in 1987. He passed away in 2004.

Betty was employed for many years in mostly credit positions in Indiana and Minnesota. She graduated from Madison Township High School in 1942. She was a long time member of the Women of the Moose in Mishawaka, Indiana, and den mother in the Boy Scouts in Osceola, Indiana.

Funeral services for Betty will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. in Mishawaka. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services on Monday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Indiana.

She is survived by two children, Ronald J. Wilson of Phoenix and Diane J. (Wilson) Willert of Owatonna; two grandchildren, Laura Jean (Shane) Zvorak of Owatonna and Lisa Jean (Steve) Kluver of Albert Lea; five great-grandchildren, Bobbie and Jon Kluver and Vanessa, Veronica and Devin Zvorak; and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband; son-in-law, Dale Willert; brother, Donald Fries; sister, Opal Dubie; sister-in-law, Delores Fries; and brother-in-law, Edward Dubie.
