Burglaries reported
A cash register was noticed missing at 7:12 a.m. Monday at 2751 E. Main St. The incident allegedly might have occurred earlier that day.
A burglary report was made at 11:49 a.m. Monday at 29258 Freeborn County Road 45, outside Clarks Grove. No items were taken.
1 arrested on warrant, open bottle violation
Albert Lea police arrested Jay Richard Nelson, 28, on a Department of Corrections probation warrant during a traffic stop at 6:06 p.m. Monday at 122 Bridge Ave. At the scene, Nelson was cited for an open bottle violation.
Thefts reported
A street-legal dirt bike was reported stolen at 6:08 p.m. Monday at 117 Adams Ave.
A theft of an iPhone 6S was reported from a locker room at 7:38 p.m. Monday at 2021 W. Main St.
A bad check in the amount of $133.94, including $90 in lottery tickets, was reported at 8:16 p.m. Monday at 2222 E. Main St.
Criminal damage to property reported
Criminal damage to property was reported at 3:47 p.m. Monday at 205 E. Main St. in Clarks Grove. Someone allegedly tried to punch the ignition on a car with a screwdriver.
A storage unit was allegedly damaged and an attempted break-in was alleged at 9 p.m. Monday at 81027 Freeborn County Road 46 outside Hayward.
Someone allegedly attempted to get into a shed at 1:32 p.m. Monday at 1002 Bimelich Lane.
