Marjorie Larson, 1930-2017

Funeral services for Marjorie Larson will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Randy Baldwin will officiate. Interment will be at East Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Marjorie Larson

Marjorie died Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood surrounded by her family.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1930, in Riceland Township to Joseph and Alma (Anderson) Nesse.  She married Casper Larson on Sept. 10, 1949, at East Freeborn Lutheran Church. Their life was spent farming in Hayward Township.

Over the years, Marge and Cap loved old time music, dancing and vacationing at Rollag.  While on the farm she enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family and feeding wild birds. Her greatest joy in life was her devoted family.  She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Donna (Rick) Oakland, Dale (Kathy) Larson, Gayle (Michael) Thompson, Roger (Twyla) Larson and Larry (Karla) Larson; six granddaughters; and six grandsons; six great-granddaughters; and seven great-grandsons.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alma Nesse; her husband, Casper; her son, Dean Larson; and her brothers Luverne and Carlyle Nesse.
